Intentions for Health

Intentions: Setting your intention for a yoga practice is simple bringing your attention to a quality that you would like to emulate for your time on – and off – the mat. That quality could be gratitude, strength, awareness of breath – whatever you want to cultivate. Not to be confused with affirmations, intention is a mental state that represents a commitment to carrying out an action or actions in the future. Intention involves mental activities such as planning and forethought. An affirmation is a declaration that something is true. For an affirmation to be effective, it needs to be present tense, positive, personal and specific.





  • I intend that my physical body is one hundred percent vital, healthy, and filled with energy.

  • I intend to lead a healthier lifestyle by eating more mindfully and moving my body regularly.

  • I intend to make a conscious effort to keep my own body and planet healthier

  • I intend to love my body and be grateful for this powerful machine given to me.

  • I intend to take necessary precautions to stay safe and keep my body healthy.
